The Vendor is required to provide high quality armed, uniformed, static and roving patrol security guard services in and around county properties. - While this does not apply to every site, current coverage is provided seven days per week, during the day and evening at some sites. - The possibility exists to increase coverage, either temporarily or permanently, up to twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. - Provide on-site security supervision. - Provides different levels of security guards based on experience or performance (ex: Senior Security Guard), the Contractor is encouraged to provide these levels, requirements to attain the levels, and different wages and charge rates for these positions. - Ensure that security guards do not leave their assigned posts until they have been properly relieved. - Security guards may be required to perform basic operations of County’s access control/intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, facility burglary/fire alarm systems, weapons detection systems and other security related equipment. Specialized training for such equipment will be provided by County to security guards. - Radios shall operate within the frequency range of 403–470 MHz to ensure compatibility with County-issued radios currently in use at select sites. - Monitoring visitors and suppliers seeking entrance in a manner consistent with County procedures. - Providing general surveillance of exterior and interior areas of County facilities and property. - Providing for the proper locking and unlocking of buildings, gates, and other areas in accordance with site-specific post orders. - Documenting patrolling of designated areas at specified times. - Any condition the security guard feels may possibly be detrimental to the health or safety of employees or visitors. - Discharge of any security guard’s firearm, whether intentional or accidental. - Provide appropriate and necessary management and supervision for all of the Contractor’s employees and shall be solely responsible for instituting and invoking disciplinary action for employees not in compliance with the Contractor's rules and regulations, as well as any other policy and procedures established by the contracting parties.
